Tips & articles

to Italy in may

I think this is the best time to visit Italian art cities. They'll be less crowder, and you can enjoy the authentic local life!
Don’t miss…Milan’s Duomo!!No matter how many times I’ve seen it, the first glimpse of the Duomo’s willowy, luminescent marble spires always inspires a quiet gasp of awe. The cathedral is quintessential Milan: a product of centuries of politicking, pillaging, graft, fashion and mercantile ambition. And despite its florid mix of architectural styles, it somehow works.
Anyone who has traipsed around the streets of Rome or Milan in the height of summer knows that even the most beautiful of cities can be tainted by over-exposure. The coastal paths of the Cinque Terre or the Amalfi can be equally packed – so go now. The weather is warm, and the towns geared up for visitors, but you won’t feel like a canned sardine

The view from the top
Make sure to climb the steps to the roof’s marble terraces, not just for the panoramic view (a rare treat in Milan), but also for the fairy-tale sensation of being surrounded by the petrified marble pinnacles. It’s also a must for Visconti fans – one of the most heartbreaking scenes from his 1960 film Rocco and His Brothers is set here. There’s a lift if you can’t tackle the stairs.
A cathedral concert
Look out for the Duomo’s occasional concerts of early classical and sacred music. The Duomo’s music school has
been training choirboys since 1402 (expectantly, they know their stuff ), and the Duomo’s organ is one of the world’s finest. It’s also a good way to avoid the tour-group circus.

For most people, Venice is synonymous with romance.
Of course there are detractors and those who failed to overlap with the virtual image of the real city but most people love this city, imagining it as a symbol of love, romance inspired by shriveled walls sheltered by the buildings.
The first thing that take your attention are building facades. Serious lapse but also proud and stately, they carry their mark in the nobility. Trying to describe the local architecture would mean using a long line of oximoroane. Houses girls who say they are mirrored in the water and tell their own history, mused in another time.
